Point of the Tour course3: The volcanoes in Jeju island had started erupting 1million 3hundred thousand years ago. On the western part of Jeju island there are relatively older volcanic craters than those of the eastern part. On the tour course3 you mustn't miss lava columnar joints which are crystal shaped rocks and pillars caused by process of cooling down lava flows.
 
Furthermore, In the middle of magnificent lava dome there are 800 years buddhist monastery cave named 'Sanbaggula'. You can see not only a magnificent lava dome but also to encounter Jeju buddhist history.
 
Suwelbong and Chagwido stand on the tip of the west of Jeju island. They were one huge crater once but as time goes Chagwido has become independent islets now. Walking on the path between Suwelbong and Chagwido you can see marvelous volcanic sedimentaries. At the end of the tour, taking a photo and having a cup of green tea at Osulloc add a good memory in Jeju island.

 
 
1. Chenjeyeon waterfalls



Chenjeyeon waterfalls are 3 steps water falls. Strangely to say, the water falling down to the fall doesn't come from mountain. Jeju island is volcanic island consists of lava soil, so whenever it rains it is penetrated into the ground and comes out near on a shore. We call it 'Yongchen-su'. Water in Chenjeyeon waterfalls comes from ground spring water. And the first waterfall is the source of Chejeyeon waterfall. It also has been registered as Geopark by UNESCO.
 

 

2. Joosangjelli lava columnar joints



When extremely hot lava cooled down by very cold air, it splits into crystal shaped rocks that looks like man-made stone work. We call it lava columnar joints. Even though you can see so many lava columnar joints in Jeju isalnd, This Joosangjelli gives the best view of them. It has been registered as a Geopark by UNESCO.
 


 
3. Sanbangsan


   
A magnificent and gigantic lava dome named Sanbangsan standing on the western part of Jeju island has been considered a holy place by Jeju people. There is a natural cave which has been a buddhist monastery for 800 years.
You can visit at 'Hamel' museum as well as 'Yongmeri coast line'
Sanbangsan and on food of Youngmeri coast line are regarded one of the best attraction in Jeju island. They have been registered as Geopark by UNESCO.

 
 
4. Chagwido & Suwelbong

 
Chagwido and Suwelbong were a big volcanic crater once. As time goes by Suwelbong has been eroded and after level of sea water risen Chagwido has become separate islets. You can find magnificent volcanic sedimentaries layers which are quite rare in the world in Suwelbong. 'Chagwido islets are well known for its sunset view. They are UNESCO Geopark.
 
 
 

5. Osulloc green tea plantation



Care for a cup of Jeju green tea? Green tea is well known corps in Jeju island as well as tangerines. Osulloc green tea open field refresh your fatigued mind from Jeju travel. Well, of course You can have a best organic green tea here.
