(Travel Jeju) Jeju Mok-Gwanak: Capital of Jeju politics and culture.

After seeing my clients off at the airport, I went to 'Jeju Mok-Gwana' which was a government official building in old times. This castle was used to be a centre of Jeju city. But during Japanese colonisation, they demolish most of them. In 2005, Jeju local government has remodeled this castle. Just half of them were completed so far.
Actually the Jeju Mok-Gwana, Jeju provincial office in the Joseon Dynasty, was located around Gwandeokjeong. People presume that there had already been some main office facilities in this region since the Tamna Kingdom Era.

Gwandeokjeong is the oddest governmental building in Jeju, was built in 1448 as a place for training soldiers. It is said that competition of shooting arrow was use to be held here annually. Originally this building was a centre of the castle. But now it has a big street next to this pavilion.

Mangfyengru is the place where the people honoured the king whit gratitude looking toward Seoul where he stayed. It is located in northern part of this castle because King lives on the north from Jeju island.

This is 'Dolharubang' which means stone grandfather in Jeju dialect. 'Dolharubang' were placed in sets face to face at the site of castle gate entrance as a guardian to keep from evil spirits and misfortunes. Some times they defined castle boundaries and worked as an exit and entry control signpost as well.

(Travel Jeju) Thanks for your advice

Since Jeju is volcanic island you have to walk to enjoy the true face of its beauty. It's depend on your health condition. However, I am sorry to say that walking is necessary travelling in this island.

By the reason of volcano, funny things is that most of beautiful places are hidden inside of the nature. So  What am I supposed to say? Walk if you want to see. That's all.  Even though I got some complaints from that, I have to have you walk.

I had an Indian client named Vibha Jain couple months ago. At first I thought she is a just posh tourist because she stayed at a good hotel, a manager of cosmetic company and especially hire a private tour guide(me). But I realised I had a bad prejudice. She is a good traveller in my opinion. She didn't mind walking wherever I take. Even she was more enjoyable. I think communicating with a client is very important. By donging so, we can enhance our knowledge for different cultures. She asked me lots of questions about Jeju island and I asked lots of questions about India. I really like to ask and being questioned about culture.

On the travelling, She suggested me having my own blog and promote myself to other tour companies. Well, I was thinking about that but I didn't have enough will to do that. She was pushing me to do by giving some good examples of self promotion. It sounds easy advice but nobody did to me so far. She said that start is difficult but if I write step by step, it will be a good blog at last. By doing so, I can promote myself to other sites. Since that I started writing on the Internet.

I don't know if I can have a good result later. My writing skill in English is not good. Expressions are not enough to describe the scenery. But I am writing. I don't know how many people will read my writing and put a comments on my blog. But I am going to give a shot.
