Japanese made a last defense line with Jeju isalnd during world war 2. At the end of war they mobilized more than 100,000 soldiers in Jeju island. As result, there are more than 1000 military excavations around Jeju island.
We visited at Suwelbong which is volcanic sedimentaries located on the west of Jeju island. There are military bunkers on the way. There are American clients among the group. Of cause they are very interested in the place. Even though it is not a touristic attraction, it attracts people.

Actually, They learnt new things about Jeju history. It is also related with their history.

This place is another historical site named Arttre japanes airfield. This air field was built in 1936 by Japanes miltary to invade China. By the technology in that time Japanese airplane 'Zero sen' couln't reach to china directly from Japna. So they build a stop over, which is Arttre air field here. They were built 80 years ago and they are still strong.
